We’re an employee-owned IT distributor based in Castleford for nearly 30 years, and the vast majority of our staff, as well as a number of customers and several of our suppliers and partners, are from the local area. As such, we know plenty of people who have been directly and indirectly affected by the amazing work the Hospice does.
The Prince of Wales Hospice kindly visited Target in January and talked to all our staff about what they do and what they need to keep doing it. We decided there-and-then that we wanted to be involved.
We want to support the Hospice to ensure as many people as possible who can benefit from the facilities and support they offer, do benefit. So, we’re going to be taking part in lots of Prince of Wales events as well as running a few of our own.
In addition to supporting the Hospice’s own events like the Yorkshire 3 Peaks at Night, Ackworth Pram Fest and the Pontefract 10K, Target is going to be the headline exhibitor at TechMAX 2026 at Magna in Rotherham in July - we’re very proud that The Prince of Wales Hospice will be joining us as the nominated charity of the whole event. They’ll be attending and raising money with us on the day that will see around 800 attendees through the doors.
We have also agreed with one of our exclusive brands, piXL monitors, that we will be donating a percentage of all sales directly to the Prince of Wales Hospice.
If you’re attending any Prince of Wales hospice events or see us out-and-about raising money at one of our own, do come and say ’hi’. In the meantime, if you’d like to sponsor or donate through Target, please do.
