Business Development Executive

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for cold calling prospects, introducing our company and the benefits of selling our products with the primary goal of setting up a trade account, and converting to spending accounts.

You will be responsible for generating business from outbound calls and other proactive sales activities, also handling incoming orders, and maximising the opportunities of incoming orders. With targets based on account conversion, you will have the flexibility to negotiate pricing with your customers, and will be tasked with maximising sales and returns whilst maintaining our high standards of customer care. You will be responsible for all aspects of developing these accounts.

In order to be successful in this role you must have previous Business Development experience as the role focuses on building strong working relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective customers to promote Target Components Ltd.
  • Make minimum 75 outbound calls per day
  • Acquire new customers
  • Develop and grow customer accounts
  • Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
  • Handle inbound calls from customers
  • Negotiate pricing
  • Raise sales orders
  • Convert new customers to spend
  • Source new prospective customers
  • Maintain customer service standards

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, with the tenacity, ambition and proven sales skills to achieve personal and departmental target driven goals. You need to be extremely personable, approachable & with bags of personality. In addition you will have good organisational skills and show attention to detail.
