Within DOA Period: Lenovo will issue an authorisation number for return to the dealer/distributor.
Outside DOA Period: Lenovo will issue an RMA number and will handle the warranty direct with the end user (unless otherwise instructed).
This DOA period can vary so please verify this information with the manufacturer.
The item will have a base warranty when you first receive it. A base warranty is the manufacturing warranty to protect the product once it leaves the factory.
